Christine Caine offers life-transforming insights about how not only to overcome the challenges, wrong turns, and often painful circumstances we all experience, but also to actually grow from those experiences and be equipped and empowered to help others.
Using her own dramatic life story, Caine shows how God rescued her from a life where she was unnamed, unwanted, and unqualified. She tells how she overcame abuse, abandonment, fears, and other challenges to go on a mission of adventure, fueled by faith and filled with love and courage. Her personal stories inspire readers to hear their name called, just as Christine heard her own – “You are beloved. You are the hope. You are chosen” – to go into a dark and troubled world, knowing each of us possess all it takes to bring hope, create change, and live completely for Christ.
Part inspirational tale, part manifesto to stir readers to lives of adventure, Undaunted shows the way with spiritual wisdom and insight.
“He does not ask, Are you capable? He asks are you willing?”
Undaunted by Christine Caine surprised me. I wasn’t sure what it was about when I chose to review it. It just looked interesting. The second chapter tells of how her brother found out he was adopted and as the truth keeps coming, she finds out she is also. As a year passed, she sent away for official papers on her adoption. What Christine found wasn’t what she was prepared for. The papers came. She learned her father was unknown, that she had been unnamed, and that her mother was in a hurry to get back to work. That had to be so difficult to read. Yet, she overcame the feeling of unworthiness and did amazing things for God. This book is based on her life and her life stories. She shares from the heart and is open about her past. She shares how she starts her own organization called A21 for sex trafficking. It is definitely worth reading and realizing that being called by God is an honor, not a chore.Amber
