Love is a Given

Eve deceived

What are you doing with what you’ve been given? Perhaps I should say, “What are you doing with Whom you’ve been given?” The Holy Spirit. Love. Patience. Kindness. These are your *Givens: (a) The Holy Spirit and (b) the Fruit He produces within you.

Your Beloved has been given to you as well. Heaven sent.
Your Special Someone with whom you get to share your Gifts. This very day.

From Whom and with whom. Now that’s Romantic!
And very sexy, too, don’t you think?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Let’s Celebrate the Possibilities of Love!

Grains of Sand

The Lord has not forgotten you. He has held you in His Heart since the beginning of Time. He knows Your Hopes and Fears, Your Dreams and Disappointments, Your Strengths and Vulnerabilities.

He is actively in the Loving Process
of making you more like Jesus.

So be encouraged. Every day.
And keep on being You.

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
    How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,

    they would outnumber the grains of sand
    when I awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139: 13-18
