Do You Understand Her Question?

More on Couple Communication: How to Resolve Couple Conflict

Couple Communication: Answering the right questionMen and women use language differently, and that probably affects your couple communication more than you realize. Because you respond to what you think you heard, which is not necessarily what your mate was saying.

In the video below, you will learn the importance of understanding your mate’s Bottom Line Question.

And once you know the real question behind the question, you’ll greatly increase the probability that you will automatically give the answer he/she is hoping for.

To answer before listening –

Every Man Needs a Safe PlaceEvery man needs a safe place where he can be himself. A place where he is wanted and accepted. Just as he is.

To understand men and relationship, you must first understand the depth of his sensitivity and how essential is it for him to hide his sensitivity so that he can survive in the world.

Society has taught him that he has to be tough and that he must figure out all the answers. Never ask for directions. Never let them see you sweat.

Therefore, each and every day a man must don his armor and find a way to survive in this fast-paced life. To earn a living and provide for those he loves.

When he comes home, he desperately needs to take off his armor, to find respite from his work and comfort in the arms of the woman he loves. The woman he wants to be wanted by and accepted by … more than anything else in life.

Yes, every man needs a safe place.

But far too often women, who are dealing with their own pain, miss the opportunity to nurture their own knight in shining armor. In their anguish, women attack, blame, and criticize … often without even realizing that is what they are doing.

  • It’s the emotional equivalent to kicking a man in the groin.
  • He becomes utterly powerless to meet her needs.

When that happens on a daily basis, a man never gets to take off his armor. He never gets to recharge. He begins to starve to death. And he checks out. He’s lives in self-protect mode, not in I-can-hardly-wait-to-see-her mode.

But you can change that for him. You can learn how to be his safe place.

It is not good for man to be alone. GENESIS 2:18
