Uncommon Love

When I was a professor at Azusa Pacific University, I was asked to assist a student with her research. She wanted to expose Hollywood’s unrealistic, high expectations for romance. I disagreed with her premise. She held to her bias and moved on.

Why did I disagree? Romantic movies illustrate Our Dream of Loving and Being Loved. But most importantly, those expectations far from being too high.

Those expectations are actually way too shallow!

Love in The Kingdom is based on a Higher Standard. Beginning with the fact that The Holy Spirit is intimately involved. If you want Him to be, that is.

Love is a Fruit of His Presence in your life. So Love is a Gift. And that Love is patient.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
