Your words are powerful

And so are your thoughts. Both arise out of what you believe to be Truth. What you believe – about God, about yourself, about others – is more important than you may realize. If your beliefs about Who God is are consistently inconsistent:

  • You won’t be able to see things the way He sees them.
  • So your mindset will become negative and counterproductive.
  • And you will speak into existence the very things you DO NOT want.

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (Luke 6:45)

We have Peace in The Presence of the Lord

We have Peace in The Presence of The Lord.

You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

“Though the mountains be shaken
    and the hills be removed,
yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor My covenant of peace be removed,”
says the The Lord, Who has compassion on you. (Isaiah 54:10)

On the 5th Day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me: Peace.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Jesus is our True Love, and He’s the Reason we keep celebrating!
December 25th is the First Day of Christmas, not the last.

On the 4th Day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me Goodness. (2 Peter 1:3-8)
On the 3rd Day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me Truth. (John 14:6)
On the 2nd Day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me Forgiveness. (Psalm 130)
On the 1st Day of Christmas, my True Love gave to me Presence. (Matthew 1:23)

The Deciding Vote

You always cast the deciding vote. As I mentioned in a previous  post, we all experience the hijacking of our emotions at one time or another. It happens so suddenly, that we can feel out of control. Even so, we still have a choice to make.

Two voices are trying to influence your vote.

One voice comes from the atmosphere around you.
The Other comes from deep within you.

One voice is loud, full of hatred, and fills the atmosphere around you. It belongs to the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. That voice is out to kill, steal, and destroy. It wants you to default, doubt, and derail.

The Other is that still small Voice deep within you. That voice is filled with love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It is the Holy Spirit, Who wants you to reset, refocus, and be restored.

For more on this, you’ll want to read about the purpose of unpleasant feelings.
