The Deciding Vote

You always cast the deciding vote. As I mentioned in a previous  postOpens in a new tab., we all experience the hijacking of our emotions at one time or another. It happens so suddenly, that we can feel out of control. Even so, we still have a choice to make.

Two voices are trying to influence your vote.

One voice comes from the atmosphere around you.
The Other comes from deep within you.

One voice is loud, full of hatred, and fills the atmosphere around you. It belongs to the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. That voice is out to kill, steal, and destroy. It wants you to default, doubt, and derail.

The Other is that still small Voice deep within you. That voice is filled with love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It is the Holy Spirit, Who wants you to reset, refocus, and be restored.

For more on this, you’ll want to read about the purpose of unpleasant feelings.
